A little about me..
I am Kimberly Hillestad O'Bannon and I am a multidisciplinary artist. I am a singer, multi-instrumental musician, writer, visual artist, photographer, and videographer with 10 years of marketing background. I was born in Louisiana, raised in Arkansas, and recently found my way to Kentucky. I am an Army Veteran and a mother of 3. My husband, Mason, is my biggest supporter, guitar player, co-writer, and producer. I climbed from a life of survival and built a life full of art, so I make it my mission to lift up other artists around me to show them that dreams are there for a reason and they can be attained.
In 2025, I presented my workshare to the new recipients of the Catalyze Grant, awarded by Mid America Arts Alliance. While most formats are a slideshow of your history and current workings, I took the opportunity to create a video that I filmed, edited, and used one of our unreleased singles "Don't Run" as the background music. It also takes you a little deeper into my history and journey to where I am today.
After the presentation, MAAA reached out to me to use my piece and wrote an article about it. I am so honored that it was able to touch other artists, as I am extremely passionate about encouraging others to step into themselves. I am forever grateful that I received their support and recognition, helping validate many years of wondering if this could even be possible.
In 2026, we are recording our full-length album "Everything That Is Us" that has 4 years of our hearts poured into it. I cannot wait to share our work with the world. To check out the article and workshare video, click the button below.
